Baseball Bat Rules
For the fall 2011 the existing rule will continue to be enforced:
A bat that is -10 or heavier is legal for 2 ¼", 2 5/8" and 2 ¾" barrel sizes, regardless of composition
If a bat is lighter than -10:
· No full composite bat is allowed (a bat with both a handle and barrel made of composite materials)
· If a bat is of a two piece hybrid design (composite handle and alloy barrel) it may be used if it is has a 2 ¼" barrel and is certified with a BPF 1.15 or less
· If a bat is made fully of an alloy material, it may be used in both small and big barrel sizes
