League Baseball Information

Humble/Atascocita Baseball Association offers league baseball for any player between the ages of 5 and 16 as of April 30, 2024 for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 seasons. 

HABA offers multiple different age groups of league baseball, which can be found below.  Please note, depending on the season, some age groups will be combined or separated. For example, 7U and 8U are listed as separate age groups but may be combined if the numbers don't support two age groups. 

In the event that an age group does not get at least two teams, we may cancel the season and issue refunds.

The deadline to cancel your registration and receive a refund for the Spring 2024 season is January 26, 2024 @ 5 pm.
There will be a $5 fee for cancellation.

Refund Policy for Season Cancellation: 
Should the season be canceled due to events including but not limited to (1) acts of God, (2) natural disaster, (3) public health emergency, or (4) any other cause reasonably beyond the league's control, HABA will attempt to provide a credit or refund of registration fees based on how much of the season was played less the administrative fees, costs of uniforms, field costs, and any other costs incurred by HABA up until the point of season cancellation.

Upon completion of 50% of the scheduled games, the season will be deemed complete and no refund will be given.

Fundraisers(raffle tickets and buyouts) are non-refundable and those funds will be used to settle fees. In the event additional funds are required, registration fees will be prorated accordingly. Raffle ticket sales have been waived for the Spring 2024 season.

Registration dates will be listed on the link above.  Spring Registration runs from around Thanksgiving until mid January.  Fall registration runs from July to early-August.   The price to register is $125 for 5U Tee ball, $225 for 6U, 7U & 8U, and $250 for 9U, 10U, 12U and 13-15u. There will be an early registration which will save $25 from the regular registration price (subject to discount code) and a late registration which will cost an extra $20 from the regular registration price.  All early and regular priced registrations will be done so online only.  There will only be late registration if we have availability. If you register after the close date, you will be charged the late registration price, so register early and save some money!

There will be a $25 discount for the second(and subsequent) child in the same household. 

Want to Manage a Team?
If you are interested in managing a team, please volunteer as a manager (Head Coach) when registering your child and fill out the information. All managers will be background checked before allowed to manage a team.  Managers will be notified the Thursday before the draft if they have been accepted to manage a team.  

Head Coaches will be eligible for a 50% refund of registration fees for their first registered child upon completion of the season and return of all equipment!

Team Selection
In order for us to try and have teams as even as possible, we have a tryout before the teams are chosen. All managers attend the tryouts and score players based on the tryout. After the tryouts, there will be a draft at which time all of the managers will choose teams based on the tryouts.  5U Tee Ball does not try out.

If for some reason you do not make it to tryouts, then you will be randomly assigned a team. ALL PLAYERS WILL BE SELECTED TO A TEAM.

Brothers and sisters in the same age group will be drafted to the same team.  Please make sure to register them together at the same time.  

League Fundraiser
The raffle ticket fundraiser has been suspended until further notice.  No raffle ticket sales will be required for the Fall 2023 season.

All players will be required to participate in the league fundraiser, or you can do a buyout and not participate in the fundraiser.  The league fundraiser consists of the sale of 30 raffle tickets.  For spring baseball, the raffle tickets are sold for $5 each. For Fall baseball, the raffle tickets are sold for $3 each.  If you do not want to participate in the league fundraiser, there will be a buyout of the fundraiser.  The buyout for spring baseball is $130, the buyout for fall baseball is $80.

All raffle tickets must be picked up at tryouts.  Failure to do so may result in your registration being changed to a buyout status. 

What is included?
ALL players will be supplied a jersey (top), hat, belt and socks. Players will not be supplied pants (beginning Fall 2023). All players on a team must wear the same color of uniform pant. Leagues consist of 10 regular season games that typically occur twice a week on Monday through Thursday and Saturdays. In the case of rain outs, makeup games will be played on Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays.

An end of season tournament will also be scheduled if time permits.  The end of season tournament may be single or double elimination depending on time available.
